Notice for Seminar

Bangladesh Engineers' Association, Jeddah (BEAJ) is pleased to organize a Seminar on

MUSLIM’S DUTY TOWARDS ENVIRONMENT

 

At following venue and time:

Venue: Golden Tulip Hotel (old Kaki hotel)

Sharafia, Jeddah

Date: 5th December 2010  (Sunday)

Time: 8:00 to 10:00 PM

 

The topic will be presented by. Dr. Zaid Chowdhary, a Bangladeshi American.

He is a graduate of BUET in 1982 and MS & PhD Civil Engineering, University of Arizona, USA. At present he is the Vice President, Malcolm Pirne Inc. USA.

He is visiting KAUST- King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, King Abdullah City, in connection with a research project. He has graciously accepted our invitation to meet local engineers and share his expertise on the very important subject of protecting our environment.

All BEAJ Members are earnestly requested to participate in the Seminar.

Notice: Extra-Ordinary General Meeting

Dear BEAJ Members

As salamu alaikum.

The present Executive committee of Bangladesh Engineers’ Association, Jeddah pleased to announce that BEAJ is going to be transferred into IEB, Jeddah overseas Chapter (Institute of Engineers’ Bangladesh, Dhaka) very soon.

 

The process started and was inaugurated by the Visiting IEB Finance & Admin. Director Engr. Md. Abdur Rouf on 22nd July, 2010 in Golden Tulip (Old Kaki Hotel).

 

The Extra-Ordinary General Meeting of BEAJ members will be at

Venue : La Sani Restaurant.

Date    : 21st October 2010, Thursday

Time   : 8:30 p.m.

 

Meeting objectives:

1.     Formal announcement of formation of IEB, Jeddah chapter.

2.     Dissolution of BEAJ.

3.     Dinner (cost per head ...)

 

All BEAJ members are earnestly requested to attend the Extra-Ordinary General Meeting on time.

All BEAJ members are requested further to bring with them photocopies of their SSC and Engineering Certificates

for IEB Membership application process (if did not applied earlier) .

2010 ANNUAL PICNIC ANNOUNCEMENT

 The BEAJs’ executive committee has set a tentative date of Annual Picnic 2010 on 19th February 2010, Friday. We are searching for a suitable venue and will let you know shortly.

We are planning to make this picnic quite different from the traditional. There will be less emphasis on cooking the meals by us– we are planning for using catering services food and drinks. The tentative program includes the following:

  1. Guest speaker
  2. Panel discussion
  3. Children’s sports and cultural activities
  4. Adult sports and activities
  5. Women’s activities- (‘Pitha’ competition- for example)
